Nightmare on Glenn Street

The spooky season has come and gone with a lot of progress on the house. Brady decided to use the drone to show you exactly how pretty the house is from above. I didn’t realize quite how bad it looks from the air. It looks a lot like the news videos you see after tornadoes and hurricanes.

The decking going back onto the roof was a beautiful site!

Brady has made a ton of progress on the roof. It got worse before it got better, but after what feels like forever we can no longer see the sky from inside the living room.

We removed the outside chimney from the fireplace and has been the trend so far found some interesting previous DIY work. The chimney was coated in a thick layer of floor glue! Our guess is that at some point someone thought it was leaking and decided floor glue would be the right way to fix that issue. The poured the glue around the chimney, you could still see the drip lines in the dried glue. The floor glue also made an appearance down one of the valleys near what used to be the corner from hades. It really was leaking there, but the floor glue didn’t do much to help that. Now it is all cleaned up and done correctly. Brady replaced the majority of deck boards on the living room ceiling, fixed the valley that was done incorrectly, and replaced all of the deck boards that needed replacing on the screened in porch.

Funny story, Brady has learned time and time again I am NOT an athlete. He continues to either throw things at me to catch or have me throw things to him to catch, and it NEVER goes well. In this picture you see me, under the house, retrieving the pencil he gently tossed down to me from the roof. Why all the way under the house you ask…

You see that crack beside my shoe? Well, that’s the crack that ate the pencil so I had to go all the way under the house to get the pencil back, all while he’s on the roof laughing at me. He came down just to take the picture of me UNDER the house and said this has to be on the blog. I guess he needs everyone to know that I am a musician NOT an athlete.
