We hope everyone had a fun and restful Thanksgiving. We spent 2 days with family, Thursday in Mobile with Brady’s family and Friday in Tuscaloosa with mine. We worked some on the house Saturday morning and Sunday. Of course, all progress halted for the main event on Saturday. . . the Iron Bowl! It was quite the spectacle; I wasn’t sure Brady was going to make it through the three overtimes, but thankfully the Tide Rolled and we came out on top of those gawdy orange Tigers.
As far as the house goes, we are ready for the roof! We finished replacing facia all around the house. It sure looks nice to see the new facia across the back porch.

We finished cleaning up the remains of the back deck and hope to have brand new roof in the next couple weeks.

Just removing the deck and the screened porch have improved the look of the house greatly! I can’t wait to see it with the new screened in porch with outdoor kitchen, and a brand-new deck, level with the screened porch. That huge empty wall is just screaming for a projector set up for movies while roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. Still a while before I’m enjoying that, but we’re another weekend’s worth of work closer.
The roofing has arrived!!!! It was dropped late Tuesday evening, now we just need it actually on the roof.
